Asian Americans for Community Involvement (AACI)

About

Asian Americans for Community Involvement (AACI)’s Domestic Violence Program was created in 1986 to address the unmet needs of abused Asian American women and children, the primary victims of domestic violence.  Eight years later, AACI’s Domestic Violence Program opened an emergency shelter, the Asian Women’s Home, the only Asian domestic violence shelter in Santa Clara County.

AACI’s Domestic Violence Program offers a range of linguistically competent and culturally sensitive services to abused Asian Americans.  By providing direct services and cooperating with other service providers to develop creative solutions, AACI’s Domestic Violence Program bridges service gaps and creates a support network for abused Asian Americans and their children.
